Name: Big Arc

 - project I worked on during my third year in Academy -

The task was to create architectural sculpture in the centre of a roundabout dedicated to Silesian Uprising.

 

After spotting the possibility to paraphrase the history I decided to make a monumental Triumphal Arc in the middle of the roundabout in similar manner that one in Paris was built.

 

The special feature of this specific place is, offcourse THE TRAM which can go right through the Arc.

Purposes of the building would be various: commemorative, commercial, sightseeing (high located viewpoint), tram stop and various services for surrounding park users.
